The next US User Meeting is all set to take place on the 10-12 May 2023 – and we can’t wait!
We will be hosting the meeting at the Rosen Plasa on International Drive, just a 20-minute drive from Orlando Airport. We have never been to a Rosen before, nor were we familiar with the brand, but were very impressed with the hotel and the event staff.
The Rosen hotels are a chain in Orlando; Mr Rosen now 82, still walks round the hotels checking everything is in order! Mr Rosen started a career in hospitality 1964, becoming a Director of Disney’s hospitality and then in 1974 deciding to go it alone by purchasing his first hotel which has now become an empire of hotels dotted around Orlando.
The Rosen has a great location – easily accessible from the airport, close to the parks (if you are bringing the family, or just can’t visit Orlando without getting your theme park fix), walking distance to lots of bars and restaurants, it has a Starbucks in the lobby, a great in-house restaurant and excellent convention space to ensure another successful User Meeting.
We all know the chaos Covid has caused over the last few years, it took away so many opportunities for people to meet in person, but I do think it made everyone realise just how important face-to-face networking really is. Yes, zoom calls can be useful and definitely served a purpose when everyone was stuck at home (who didn’t participate in a zoom quiz with friends and family?!), but they don’t come close to a chat and a beer at the bar!
Our meeting in Dublin reignited the desire for the User Meetings, for both us and the delegates. We had great interest for another US meeting (the last was in Vegas in 2019) so we are looking forward to watching the delegate list grow… we already have 32 sign-ups.
As always, we have an early booking discount available until Friday 13 January (don’t let Friday 13th be unlucky for you, get booked up before the discount ends!).
In addition, we will also be inviting a small group of our FluidPowerNet members to join the meeting, they will be there to meet and talk with each other but will also be free to speak with the BearingNet members if you might be thinking about venturing into fluid power – we needed a way of introducing the User Meetings to the FPN’ers and feel tagging them on to a successful BearingNet meeting is a great way to show them just how vital the User Meetings are to our members.
If you are a member, you can register your space here.
