Dexis Ibérica , a company specialised in products, services and solutions for industrial maintenance, the manufacture of capital goods and worker protection, has inaugurated this Thursday its new facilities in Plaza, which have had an investment of more than 12 million euros.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by numerous personalities, including the Minister of Economy, Planning and Employment, Marta Gastón, and the mayor of Zaragoza, Jorge Azcón. The general director of Dexis Ibérica, José Giménez and the director of operations, José Ángel Aliaga, have been in charge of explaining the project and the challenges of the company.
The inauguration represents a large investment by the group and an unquestionable commitment to technology and automation. As José Ángel Aliaga indicates, “ With the new platform our goal is to multiply our order preparation ratio by 10 in the next 3 years ”. The process will culminate in 2025 with the automation of 3,000 square metres.
Dexis Ibérica currently has 32 branches throughout the national territory and 585 employees, specialised in different areas within the industrial sector. “ The new facilities allow us to centralise our stock and optimise our service to customers ”, has reported José Giménez.
The objective of Dexis is to boost the business and lead the distribution in the industrial sector. In 2017 the turnover was 52 million euros with 267 employees. In 2022 they have finished with 150 million and 585 employees. This expansion represents an increase in jobs. “ The company’s growth plan will mean a 20% increase in the workforce in the next 3 years ” since the philosophy and value of this company “ is in people ”, stated José Giménez.
Such is the importance of human capital for Dexis that, coinciding with its 25th anniversary in the group, it will hold an inauguration for its employees from all the delegations in Zaragoza with a national convention to be held in May.
Descours & Cabaud 240th Anniversary
Dexis Ibérica belongs to the French group Descours & Cabaud, which last year celebrated its 240th anniversary. During all this time the group has helped its clients to achieve their objectives and face their challenges in the construction, public works and industry sectors.
It has created a unique and scalable distribution model based on four pillars, thanks to which it has managed to be a company with a great history. These four pillars are: a business strategy with geographical diversification and international ambition, promoting high standards for the client, a constant commitment to retaining and promoting its employees and lasting relationships with clients and supplier partners. All this allows the Group to look to the future with a long-term vision aimed at developing joint growth.
