A new chapter for RKB as it strengthens ties with the U.S. market.
RKB will open a new warehouse in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to better serve U.S. customers. The facility will stock a wide range of bearings and it offers next-day shipment for customers within proximity. This investment strengthens RKB’s ability to support urgent needs and provide just-in-time deliveries across the United States.
Pittsburgh, historically known for its steel industry, has transitioned into a broader industrial ecosystem but remains significant thanks to key players in the sector. Recent international investment highlights the region’s strategic importance and its continuing role in the future of steelmaking.
This is RKB’s first location in the United States, giving the company the ability to serve customers nationwide. Together with its two Canadian warehouses in Montreal and Leduc (Edmonton area), active for more than a decade, and the Sudamericana facility opened earlier this year in Panama, RKB has strengthened its network to ensure continuous coverage from North to South America.
RKB Pittsburgh’s primary focus is steel mills, but it will also serve other industries and applications, offering logistics and warehouse solutions, including consignation programs and annual customer contracts.
Steel is RKB’s core business worldwide, representing over 30% of their total business volume, with expertise gained in the U.S. steel market over the last decade.
The opening of RKB’s Pittsburgh warehouse brings two key advantages for customers: local stock availability and significantly improved delivery times. While RKB has long supplied U.S. mill customers from its Swiss headquarters, where it maintains a unique stock valued at over €100 million, shipments often took several weeks. With the new U.S. warehouse, deliveries can now be made within just days.
The addition of Pittsburgh to RKB’s network strengthens its U.S. presence and provides American customers with improved service and strategic support.
