NEW SLIDE WAY HV Type – Nippon Bearing Develops Evolutionary Cross Roller Guide HV Series
Evolutionary Cross Roller Guide HV Series Achieving High Rigidity, High Load Capacity, and Compact Design.
Features
The NB Cross Roller Guide HV Series and HVT Series are upgraded products with improved performance by reconsidering the design aspects such as the length of the raceway contact and roller pitch compared to SV, SVT series. In comparison with previous models, the allowable load capacity and rated life distance have been increased. Installation is fully compatible with SV, SVT series, contributing to the improvement of rigidity and durability of equipment and facilities simply by replacement. This enables downsizing and compactness while maintaining equivalent performance.
High rigidity and high load capacity
The rollers have a larger contact area compared to steel balls, resulting in reduced elastic deformation. Furthermore, due to the non-circulating design, there are more effective rolling elements, leading to high rigidity and high load capacity. Additionally, the HV series achieves an increase in the contact length between the rollers and the raceway groove by 30-58% compared to the SV series through a new rail design (refer to Figure A-2). Moreover, by refining the roller pitch and increasing the number of rollers, the rated load capacity has been increased by 1.3 to 2.5 times.

Extended contact length between the rollers and the raceway groove
Extending the contact length reduces the surface pressure generated on the rollers and the rails compared to previous design.

Narrower roller pitch
Narrowing the roller pitch leads to an increase in the number of rollers.
