Founded in 1978 by lubrication pioneer Friedrich Kuhn-Weiss, OKS began with a vision to solve friction and wear problems in machines through high-performance lubricants, aimed at delivering major cost savings for industry. Originally established as OmniKote Spezialschmierstoffe GmbH, the company was renamed OKS Spezialschmierstoffe GmbH in 1981 and has continued to expand ever since.
Since 2003, OKS has been part of the Freudenberg Group’s Chemical Specialities (FCS) sub-group, benefiting from global expertise and innovation to drive dynamic growth in lubrication technologies.
