Sometimes ‘fast’ simply isn’t fast enough. There are moments when even express shipping doesn’t suffice, particularly when industrial machines are down, and applications are halted. This is exactly when PICARD COURIER options come into play.
From Bochum to Sweden in Six Hours
Recently, a PICARD customer in Sweden faced a similar dilemma. A crucial machine had failed and required spare parts urgently. The customer browsed the PICARD online shop and quickly discovered that the needed item was in stock. They placed an urgent order, specifying same-day delivery.
This is where PICARD’s latest shipping option – the international courier service by plane – proved invaluable. With this option, a courier assumes full responsibility for the shipment, from collection at the warehouse to delivery at the customer’s site. The speed and continuous, personal supervision of the shipment by the courier are significant advantages.
Every step of the shipment process, from consignment to delivery, is executed seamlessly by a dedicated team. Once the required product was picked and packaged by the warehouse team, the courier collected it from the PICARD dispatch warehouse in Bochum, Germany, at 3:30 p.m.
The package was transported directly to Düsseldorf Airport and handed over to the relevant courier for further transport. It was then flown to Copenhagen and subsequently transferred by taxi to its final destination – a small town in Sweden. Just under six hours later, at 9:15 p.m., it was delivered to the customer’s site, enabling immediate installation of the replacement parts. Both the customer and operator were immensely relieved.

After a flight of just over an hour, the goods arrived in Birmingham, where they were handed over to the customer, who then delivered them to their client. The end customer was able to install the spare parts on the same day, preventing a lengthy and costly downtime.
