Rivit Reinvented: Planning 2025 and Beyond Following 50th Anniversary

Rivit CEO, Francesco Montanari, looks to strengthen the company’s presence in the automotive, manufacturing and metal roofing sectors, building on over 50 years of service.

Francesco Montanari took over as the CEO of Rivit back in 2023, when the company celebrated 50 years of service in the fastener and fixing industry. The 50-year anniversary and the arrival of a new CEO represented the chance to change Rivit’s strategic approach to the market focusing more on core business.

The company celebrated its anniversary with a party at Rivit’s Headquarters in Ozzano dell’Emilia (BO), Italy. Guests included management of the FERVI Group that Rivit is owned by, as well as local authorities, members of staff, and dancers for entertainment. The party was a great opportunity for the new CEO to socialise and participate in press moments with interviews and photos.

Rivit has been a reference in the fastening industry for over 50 years, relying on competence, breadth of range and tailor-made solutions for every sector. Both the targeted strategy and integrated communication tools strengthen the company’s international positioning.

Founded in 1973 and based in Ozzano dell’Emilia (BO), Rivit today is an Italian company of international reference in the fastening industry. With half a century of experience and a coverage of about 65 countries worldwide, the company has built a solid reputation based on innovation, reliability, and customer service.

Since 2021, Rivit has been part of the FERVI Group and its offering is aimed at a variety of areas, including manufacturing, construction, and professional retail.

“In order to adapt with the fastening market, we have refocused on our core business, allowing us to offer a more targeted product range where core and service items are clearly defined. This strategic choice enhances our effectiveness and market positioning. Looking towards 2025 and beyond, our goal is to consolidate our presence in the automotive, manufacturing and metal roofing sectors, while strengthening our specialisation. At the same time, we are strengthening our positioning in areas such as photovoltaics, the railway industry, lifts, and TLC cabinets.

“Our commitment to international growth remains strong: we will continue participating in specialised trade fairs, either as Rivit, as part of the Fervi Group, or alongside our local partners, to reach new markets and bring our expertise and broad product offering to a wider audience.” Francesco Montanari, CEO of Rivit.

The heart of Rivit’s strategy continues to centre on its core business: fastening systems and tools. This renewed focus is reflected in the release of the latest Fasteners & Tools 11 catalogue, which showcases the company’s extensive product range and specialisation within the fastening industry.

Rivit’s current product portfolio includes blind rivets, lockbolts, threaded rivet nuts, and over 40 models of fastening tools, which are used in manual, hydro-pneumatic, and battery-operated devices. These tools are supported by process control systems compatible with Industry 4.0 technologies, enabling integration in a wide variety of applications.

The company’s solutions are used across multiple sectors, from automotive to construction, and from photovoltaics to heavy carpentry, meeting the needs of projects that involve diverse materials such as plastics, composites, and metals. This broad suitability reflects the versatility of Rivit’s product design and its responsiveness to evolving industrial requirements.

To support this technical foundation, Rivit continues to engage in activities that reinforce its presence in the global market. This includes participation in international trade fairs, close collaboration with FERVI Group companies, and ongoing investment in training for technical and sales staff. The company also maintains an active presence across digital channels to ensure consistent communication with its partners and customers.

Technical support remains a vital part of the company’s approach, with services extending from initial consultations to post-sale management, by emphasising long-term customer relationships and product reliability. Rivit aims to continue evolving as a trusted partner in the fastening industry.
