Fluid Power Industry Highlights at Hannover Messe 2025

Held in Hannover, Germany, from 31st March to 4th April, Hannover Messe showcased the pivotal role of drive technology and fluid power within the international engineering sector under the ‘Motion & Drives’ banner. The event featured over 4,000 exhibitors, including industry leaders such as Bosch Rexroth, Festo, and SEW-EURODRIVE, presenting the latest innovations in intelligent and sustainable production systems.

The fair emphasised the integration of digitalisation in fluid power, highlighting advancements like the ‘Fluid 4.0’ research project and the development of OPC UA specifications to optimise data exchange.

Matt from the FluidPowerNet team also attended the event and was able to connect with many FluidPowerNet members to discuss the platform.

These developments reflect the dynamic nature of the fluid power industry, marked by strategic acquisitions and a focus on innovation and sustainability.

ProPetro Launches ProPWR Subsidiary for Mobile Power Generation

ProPetro Holdings has launched a new subsidiary, ProPWR, to provide mobile, natural gas-powered energy solutions for oilfield and industrial operations. This move aims to reduce reliance on traditional diesel generators by offering a cleaner, more sustainable alternative.

The new business unit will focus on providing mobile power generation, starting with an order to deliver 110 megawatts of power between June 2025 and March 2026. This expansion into mobile natural gas power is expected to improve operational efficiency and reduce environmental impact, as natural gas is a cleaner alternative to diesel in power generation.

By introducing ProPWR, ProPetro is diversifying its offerings beyond hydraulic fracturing, tapping into the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions in the oil and gas sector. The company is positioning itself for long-term growth by integrating environmentally friendly technologies into its operations.
