Brand New AI Azure Search – New feature
We’ve upgraded FluidPowerNet’s search capabilities by integrating a new Azure Search system, enhanced with AI-driven (artificial intelligence) functionalities, which has replaced the traditional
SQL-based (structured query language) approach. This will allow the search system to sort the results more effectively.
This improved search function looks at part number, brand and description in one search, providing even more results than ever before (meaning there is now no need to tick the ‘include description’ box as the search now does this automatically).
Please note – we are aware of some members double listing their inventory with part number and description in the part column and also in the description column – the new search means you no longer have to do this, so please update your list to just include part number, brand, quantity, and description to ensure more accurate results.
For example:
If you search for a BOSCH 82, it will now show you results, from part numbers, brand and description, all in one search, providing you with increased search results.
If you search for an Axial Piston Pump, you will receive results including parts like AA10VSO18DRG/31R-VPA12N00, P1060AM287511, R910948742, and HPVR-10B40-RF-O-1R7-A. This is due to the system categorising keywords such as ‘piston’ or ‘pump’ to find similar results.

We have added ‘Similar Suppliers’ which allows the system to display similar suppliers depending on the search you have conducted based on the product categories you have listed in your company profile and the inventory you have listed on FluidPowerNet.

1 – What is an AI Azure Search
Azure Cognitive Search is a managed ‘search-as-a-service’ that brings advanced search capabilities. Using this type of search allows FluidPowerNet to implement a more robust, responsive, and highly customisable search experience.
2 – How do I turn the new search on?
The new AI Azure Search function has replaced the old search function and is now live on the platform.
3 – Can I search like normal?
Yes! Hopefully you will now see more search results than before. We also welcome any feedback you have on how the new search is working for you.
4 – What if I cannot find a part I am looking for?
If you cannot find a part you are looking for, please create a new listing on the Wanted Page.
New Feature – Additional Inventory Sharing
This has been developed after feedback from a number of our members, as we are aware they are happy to regularly share their catalogues but don’t have an online presence/website listing it to reach a wider audience. If you are happy to show your stock you can now share your full inventory list with the FluidPowerNet community via your company details page. This will allow members to view and browse through your inventory list and also send enquiries on your parts from this list.
Please note – all inventory listed on FluidPowerNet is automatically set to not be fully visible, this is an opt-in feature, so if you are interested in making your list visible to the FluidPowerNet community, please contact our team and we will enable this feature for you.
How to find members that have their stock list available for you to see:
Company Profile: You can click on a member’s profile and click ‘VIEW INVENTORY LIST’ to search and view their full inventory list.
Company list: To view which members have their entire inventory list visible, you can filter on the company list by clicking ‘Full inventory visible’.
Search Results page: You can also see the members who have their whole inventory listed on the search results page, as shown by the ‘View inventory list’ icon below.
Free Webshop Connection
FluidPowerNet is now providing every member with the opportunity to connect their online shop to the platform for FREE for the first 12 months.
You can link your inventory on FluidPowerNet to your Webshop enabling your customers to ‘buy now’ and avoid waiting for you to reply to an RFQ.
