Viterie Libo explores the fastening market between China and Taiwan, strengthening relationships, knowledge and opportunities for international development.
In June 2025, Viterie Libo embarked on a major trip to East Asia, touching on two pivotal countries for the global fastening industry: China and Taiwan. Leading the initiative, Mr Stuppia, the company’s legal representative, outlined three key objectives behind the visit: to expand the network of qualified suppliers, consolidate existing business relationships, and gain direct and in-depth knowledge of the East Asian market.
Two main milestones are the focus of this article: participation in the 15th Fastener Expo Shanghai in China and a visit to the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) headquarters in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
Despite being at Fastener Expo Shanghai for the first time, Viterie Libo was fully satisfied with the experience. The friendly welcome from the exhibitors allowed Mr Stuppia to meet with numerous manufacturers specialising in different categories of fastener components. The fair proved to be a great vantage point for observing trends in the Chinese market, offering solid ideas for future collaborations. In the days following the trade fair, the company had the opportunity to directly visit some factories, from the companies Viterie Libo met at the fair, to see production technologies and quality standards on site.
The trip then continued to Taiwan, where Viterie Libo was able to deepen its knowledge of the local industry. Thanks to the valuable support of TAITRA’s Milan office, the company was welcomed at the Kaohsiung office for a day entirely dedicated to B2B meetings. During the sessions, Mr Stuppia had the opportunity to meet with the managers of 10 Taiwanese companies active in the fastening sector, opening the dialogue on possible new business collaborations.
The trip to China and Taiwan for Viterie Libo presented not only a business opportunity, but also a chance for strategic and cultural growth. Touching first-hand the dynamism and efficiency of the Asian industry has reinforced the conviction that, today more than ever, the competitiveness of the fastener industry depends on its ability to connect with international markets, while maintaining its production and value roots.
