Aware of the needs of the food and beverage industry, Zen Bearings, the global bearings manufacturer has launched a new food-safe line engineered to tackle the industry’s toughest challenges:

• Corrosion: All the products within the FBS Line offer excellent corrosion protection so they can be exposed to moisture, cleaning agents, and food acids.

• Regulations Compliance: All materials are compliant with regulatory standards (FDA, NSF), so you can be sure that the bearing will meet hygiene and legal requirements.

• Hygiene and Cleanability: The non-porous surfaces, smooth finishes, and accessible cavities of the FBS line make it easier to clean. Minimising risks of bacterial growth, cross-contamination, and non-compliance.

In addition, seals and shields protect the bearings from food particles, dust, water, and cleaning agents that can enter the bearing. It also prevents lubricant leakage and ensures ongoing hygiene for your production line.

STAINLESS STEEL FBS AISI 420 AC+ BEARINGS:

 These bearings are enhanced by ZEN’s exclusive surface treatment, offering superior rust protection compared to standard AISI 420 and AISI 440 stainless steels.

They comply with FDA and RoHS standards and last twice as long as standard stainless steel bearings, reducing replacement costs and downtime due to corrosion.

As you can see, after 120 hours of testing, the AISI 420 stainless steel with AC+ treatment remained virtually untouched by corrosion. No rust was found on the inner or outer rings, and only minor rust spots appeared in the oil groove.

FBS BEARINGS WITH SOLID OIL:

• What is Solid Oil?

It is a special type of lubrication made from a polymeric material containing millions of micropores that retain oil through molecular tension. This polymer matrix fills the interior of the bearing and moves with its components, releasing lubricant during operation and reabsorbing it when the system stops.
